2."Classification of an Advanced drummer"
This post is not trying to say that drummers need to be categorized Advanced to play all, or some genre of music, also I know that not all the drummers would like to become Advanced,(if you are making money with the level you are playing or what you doing in drumming),it is absolutely fine, also I know that there are several teachers which developed their own approach. This is just my approach in mine Advanced Drum-Percussion training.1.-Concept of Timing...2.-Total control of speed...3.-Grooving,fill-ins and Solos...4.-Coordination of the upper-limbs(arms)...5.-Coordination of the upper and lower limbs(arms and feet)...6.-Mastering of the structure of music which could be playing...7.-Mastering of the dynamics and projections of the music...8.-Use of the Cymbals...9.-Interaction between the drummwer and the rest of the Band members(when playing)...10.-Coordination between the drummer and other percussionists(if ever playing with one)...11.-Level of Independency of the limbs(all extremities)...12.-Been able to play Combine Time Signatures,like,5/4,6/8,7/4,etc.This could be a guiding point for those trying to get to the next stage in drumming.Dr. Zaragemca
